Pasta & Butternut Squash Cake a la Ottolenghi

I know the idea of a savory "cake" is a bit strange, but this is really just a bunch of wonderful ingredients all jammed together in a cake tin and baked to perfection. This is wonderful and a great way to use scraps of leftover pasta dough after one makes homemade pasta. If one doesn't have fresh pasta scraps, regular dried pasta can be broken into shards and soaked for 5 minutes in boiling water before being incorporated into the recipe as instructed. I made this for my mom and she really enjoyed it! It also is great as leftovers taken for lunch.
