Pan-Seared Steaks w/ Mushroom & Merlot Sauce
My mom very rarely ate steak (it had to be good and after she hadn't had one in a while). But when she did eat steak, she loved for it to be cooked perfectly medium rare- pink to dark pink but not red. She particularly loved mushroom & wine reductions with her steak. This is a great recipe. Use a cast iron skillet our outdoor grill for best results.
