Cheese Fondue a la Gabrielle

Can you tell that my mom loved dairy products? I think there were about 5 recipes for cheese fondue in her recipe collection. This one is my favorite though- because it is handwritten by her, and because the combination of swiss and gruyere is the perfect balance between gooey stringiness and cheesy flavor. This is excellent with an assortment of blanched veggies (crisp!), bread cubes, grannysmith apple chunks, and anything else that would be good with cheese (long list). I think the world would be a lot happier if people were able to enjoy melted cheese more frequently :-).
